Statistics consistently show that people in the LGBTQIA+ community disproportionately experience mental health conditions when compared to the general population.<\/p>
This pride month, local Merseyside charities Homotopia and Open Door are teaming up to show our support for the community, and to raise awareness of the vital importance of effective mental health support LGBTQIA+ youth.<\/p>
This year's winner of our design competition is Ren Moore (He \/ They) a local illustrator and printmaker, with their wonderful interpretation of our theme 'Queer Joy'. Ren's work can be found on Instagram @basil_and_co_ and on their Linktree www.linktr.ee\/BasilandCo_<\/p>
All funds raised from the sale of these t-shirts will be split between the two charities, ensuring that we can continue our powerful work to support LGBTQIA+ youth.<\/p>
